En la ciudad de León vengo al mundo a mitad del verano del 78. En un primer momento pensé dedicarme a algo de ciencias, pero circunstancias vitales (la típica convalecencia en cama de unos meses con tebeos y rotuladores) y que lo científico empezaba a perfilarse como de muchos codos….me hizo cambiar de rumbo. En esto del rock lo más apetecible es formar una banda y estar todo el día por ahí de cachondeo, pero nunca he tenido el mas mínimo sentido rítmico- musical, esto fue otro empujón importante para olvidarme de instrumento alguno y coger los lápices en la tarea de realizar carteles para bandas de colegas. Después llegaron las camisetas, chapas, “posavasos” y discos.Estudié Grabado y técnicas de estampación en la Escuela de Arte de León y posteriormente, ya aquí en Valencia, a falta de nada mejor que hacer me licencio en Bellas Artes. He trabajado y trabajo en diseño corporativo, editorial, web, multimedia, motion graphics… Junto a otros socios intenté montar un proyecto empresarial que fracasó y en la actualidad formo parte del colectivo artístico La Tejedora CCEC.
Con el Rock'n'Roll no siempre se llega a fin de mes (por no decir nunca) pero es algo que siempre estará ahí….una via de escape, una necesidad vital y una jodida maldición.
Half way through the summer of '78 in the city of Leon (Spain) I came to this world. At first I thought of dedicating myself towards something to do with science, but vital circumstances (for example being sick in bed for a few months with comics and markers) made me change.... science was too much study...I changed track. With Rock the thing is that first thought is to form a band and to be out on the streets all day long laughing at everything... but I have never had the leastest sense of musical rhythm, so I quickly forgot about any musical instruments and I grabbed some pencils and started doing concert posters for friends. Later on came T-shirts, badges, "coasters" (CDs) and records.
I studied Printing and technique of printmaking at the art school of Leon and later on I came here to Valencia, and without anything else better to do I enrolled in Fine Arts, I have worked and do work as a corporate designer, and for magazines, also do webs, multimedia, motion graphics... together with other parteners I tried to set up a company but it fell apart and now I am part of a collective called La Tejedora CCEC.
With Rock 'n' Roll you can't always make ends meet (or shall we say never) but it is always there... it's somewhere to escape to, it's a necesity or just a bloody curse!
